The offal of daily attrition: prime cuts, odds & ends

7.6.10

Zebra Sharbo X LT3 (SB-22 Gray).

After sleeping on it I decided to keep it even though the color was not what I had hoped for. Assembling the pen with no instructions was fairly straight forward, although I did get hung up on installing the mechanical pencil because I wasn't sure if the plastic tip was part of it or not (it is, it's the spring portion). You just sort of ram all the pieces into their slot and hope you don't break anything, at least that's what I did.
For the first go around, I have 0.5mm pencil (nothing special here), 0.7mm ball point in black, and 0.5mm gel in red.
The pen itself has considerable heft, surprisingly so when you first pick it up, but it sort of fades away when you begin writing with it. Not sure if the weight is some sort of intricately designed function counter balance what have you, or it's just the way it is.

The ink reservoirs are rather small (similar in size to the Inka), so we'll see how long each one lasts I've heard approximately 2 weeks use. I am not big on ink per se, or at least I wasn't but now that I can write in 0.7mm/0.5mm (they look the same to me) I may be more inclined to do so but when I bought this it was to be a pencil primarily with the option of ink to emphasize key points during note taking. If I find it becoming too cost inefficient
I'll just buy some 0.5mm gels in black and red to replace this guy and go back to carrying three individual instruments.
But all things considered, I enjoy it.

The handsome looks and affordable price piqued my interest, but I am not really sure I could pull it off (the face looks a little too big for my wrist). Aesthetically though, it's a very pleasing design (almost as much as some of the Sinn watches you have posted in the past).

Lastly, please ease up on the chanspeak.
