You're Wrong

Bush promised shock and awe in Iraq and now he's delivering it stateside. I, like most of my generation, never cared for the man but was unable to quantify the reasons as to why - much like a bowl of political Apple Jacks but now I have an extremely clear reason for my disdain.

This proposal is ludicrous, it won't help to do anything other than destroy the magnificent scenery of our coastlines and the last thing we need are lower gas prices! It was just last week the newspapers were fellating the populous by claiming gasoline usage was down, public transportation was up, and alternative energy (beyond hybrids and ethanol) was suddenly socially acceptable. Wake up, Dubya and take a lesson from Ahnuld:

America is so addicted to oil that it will take years to wean ourselves from it. Finding new ways to feed our addiction is not the answer.

We have options beyond petroleum and internal combustion engines, I know we're all enamored with our automobiles for one reason or another but is it really sensible to drive anymore?
