"What's new?"

1. Bought a used newsprint pad for $5 to draw on (9/11).
2. Bought a used 120 GB iPod classic, also ordered a pair of Audio Technica M-50s to accompany the iPod. (9/12)
3. Cleaned the house, mowed the lawn, swept the patio, then saw Joe Rogan perform in Sac. It was good, Redban and Sam Tripoli opened they were funny a lot of set up, punchline material but still good. Joe was more conversational than I had expected. Good rants against gymnastics, vegans, vaginas and uncircumcised penises.(9/14)
4. Drove down to Temecula with two strangers from Perris, CA who also go to UCD (9/15)
5. Went to Comikaze with niece and nephew (9/16)
1. Bought some prints (1, 2, 3)
2. Got a subscription to The Devastator quarterly
6. Bought used replacement pickups (EMG 35 CSs with BTC EQ) for the project bass I shelved years ago, in an attempt to get back into music.
7. Went to a record store to see if they had any used Mercyful Fate, walked away with: Blood, Sweat & Tears' "Found Treasure", Chris Isaak's "Heart Shaped World", Iron Maiden's "Rock in Rio", Frank Zappa's "Joe's Garage - Acts I, II, and III", In Flames' "Colony", Rush's "Moving Pictures", and Daft Punk's "Discovery". Not sure I am thrilled with any of these purchases. (9/17) 
8. Went to lunch (Taco Tuesday) with former Psychology professor/friend, had lengua (cow's tongue) for the first time. Not terrible, reminded me of a less rubbery chicken heart. (9/18)
9. Took an Indian cooking class, learned how to prepare pakoras (pass), palak paneer, Tandoori chicken (pretty awful without a tandoor), and mango kulfi (pass). (9/19)
10. Met up with former Anatomy and Physiology professor, riding partner, friend for lunch (horrible Hemet Chinese buffet) then saw Expendables 2 (Man-tastic!) (9/20)
11. Worked out with former Personal Trainer (kind of him to squeeze me in), hung out with my nephew (due to a staff in service day) went go kart racing (lame place in Murrieta called Pole Position), then went indoor wall "rock climbing" at Vital Gym - much more enjoyable. Went to a swanky Italian place for dinner, had Kangaroo steak. Delicious. (9/21)
12. Went to the Temecula farmer's market (abysmal) to get some greens (wound up with kale), an onion (flavorless), and some mushrooms (got maitake, should have gone shiitake). Went to a friend's parent's house on the way home to touch base with them while I am in town. His mom now grows marijuana as a sleep aid, interesting to say the least. Went to an even swankier French place for dinner, had escargot, French onion soup, and Salmon en croute. Everything was so rich and creamy, put me into a food coma. (9/22)

Married friend with benefits, Nicole, contacted me saying she got a divorce and wants to hang out. Then comes out she's DTF. I say not interested, she says that's fine she's busy anyway, then continues to text. Just wants to be friends, because she misses me...
