The offal of daily attrition: prime cuts, odds & ends

Twitter, or the death of mental filtering?
It seems this hypermediacy social networking fixation is killing critical thinking in addition to privacy.

You don't need to flush out and share every thought as it's developing. This premature birthing of experience is not modern, postmodern, or even significant. It's sad.

If the experience is legitimately memorable it may be worth retelling at a later date, among friends and family, as was the case for a majority of the human experience through the ritual of storytelling. The difference being, that story had to withstand several filters and other sociocultural evolutionary forces which dictated their merit, or value in being recounted.

For all intents and purposes, I suppose blogging is the root of this highly individualistic internet experience we have established. By the same token I am equally worthless and rightly so because these rants and fecal photos serve no purpose.
