Arrive at 1230 to begin consuming barium solution as prep for imaging at 1400. Informed I am only picking up, actual appointment was scheduled for Monday. Inform receptionist I am unable to make any appointments next week. She checks with the radiologist to see if he can fit me in. He agrees. I am in at 1430.
Waiting room has this elderly couple, they were a riot.
Overhear bits and pieces of the woman sitting next to me, ask her if she has Crohn's by chance. She does. We compare notes. Then I was called away, by the radiologist.
Appointment went nicely, the radiologist is awesome. Cannot say enough nice things about him, he's very personable and a pleasure to be a patient of. I like our small talk.

Iodine solution for contrast imaging through a larger gauge needle: more metal mouth, warm fuzzies and great balls of fire.
